This bathroom used to feature a jetted tub that mounted above the floor and a freestanding corner shower. The homeowner removed those and then we came in and removed everything else: vanities, tile floor, wainscoat, trim, and door. We enlarged the doorway from 28 to 36 inches. We recessed the new shower floor and built a half wall around the shower with an opening large enough to accomodate a wheelchair. We added heat to the main floor and the shower floor. The main floor and shower floor are on different circuits that way if the one in the shower goes out, the main floor is still heated. We installed where the wainscoat was, tiled the floor, and the shower. The top and sides of the half walls and the shower bench were purchased from and installed by a local stone supplier. After weeks of deliberating on the wall color and trying countless samples, the homeowner settled on this green.
